Cougar baseball gets first win of Lees era

The 2016 college baseball season is well underway and the Cougars did not get off to the hot start that they were hoping for. The Cougars were outscored in their first two games 16-3 by the Texas State Bobcats but kept game 3 close losing 7-6.

Monday was a different story for the team as they edged out their first win of the season in extra innings. The Bobcats went into the 9th inning with a 7-5 lead and the Cougars were able to take advantage of some sloppy play.

Derek Chapman led off the 9th with a walk and scored on a Cameron Frost double to cut the deficit to 1.
