SEATTLE — Zenah Cheptoo followed her record-setting performance in her debut with a Washington State women's track and field program record in the 3,000-meter run at 9:12.18, finishing third overall in the event on the first night of the two-day UW Invitational at Dempsey Indoor.
Micaela De Mello led the day off for Washington State on the track with a first-place finish in the women's 60-meter hurdles, her second win of the indoor season, after posting times of 8.36 and 8.32 in prelims and finals, respectively.
