Brooks-Johnson Wins Pac-12 Heptathlon Title for Second Time

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Washington State's won the women's heptathlon Sunday at the Pac-12 Combined Events Championships at Oregon State's Whyte Track & Field Center in Corvallis.

Brooks-Johnson, a redshirt junior from Doty, Wash., scored a season-high 5,638 points to win the conference heptathlon title for the second time in three championships. Brooks-Johnson ended the first day's competition with the lead at 3,352 points. Sunday she long jumped a hyper-wind-aided 18-feet 7 inches (5.66m), threw the javelin a season-best distance of 138-6 (42.22m), and ran the 800m in a time of 2 minutes 19.
