Monday was a historic day for Washington State baseball. Two Cougs, including Kyle Manzardo and Zane Mills, were picked within the first four rounds of the MLB Draft. That’s the first time that’s happened since Scott Hatteberg and Aaron Sele in 1993.
On Tuesday, another WSU player added his name to that list. With the 359th overall pick in the 12th round of the draft, the Miami Marlins selected Washington State pitcher Brandon White.
The pick means that three WSU players have now been picked in the first 12 round. That’s the first time that has happened since 1977.
