Blessed to Bleed Crimson

Fourth quarter; second-and-five; and No. 2 Oregon was deep in Washington State territory. In his first start, defensive lineman Darryl Paulo knew he had to get into the Duck’s backfield, and Heisman frontrunner Marcus Mariota stood reading the defense. A second of calm, before chaos. That moment – the leaders of WSU’s front seven say – “is everything.”

Everything. It’s not only what football’s biggest moments mean, but what being a Cougar means to redshirt-senior Paulo and fellow line mate senior Destiny Vaeao.

“It’s all about our family, our teammates, our coaches, and the Coug Nation,” Vaeao said.
