Earlier this week, the Whitman County prosecutor filed 2nd degree robbery and 4th degree assault charges against sophomore linebacker Logan Tago for his role in a June incident. Second degree robbery is a Class B felony in the state of Washington.

Washington State president Kirk Schulz, while speaking to KHQ-TV in Spokane Tuesday, confirmed that Tago would be suspended following the robbery charge. Athletic department policy states that no student-athlete charged with a felony shall be allowed to represent the university in outside competition.

Today, in response to Tago’s reported suspension, Washington State athletics director Bill Moos has released a statement, noting that Tago will still be allowed to practice while on suspension.
