PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University fifth-year senior Michaela Bayerlova begins her run at the 2022 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championship Monday, May 23 at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Ill.
Bayerlova, ranked No. 36 nationally entering the championship, will face Eden Richardson from Miami, who is ranked one spot lower at No. 37, in Monday's first round. Match time is set for 2:30 p.m. PT.
This marks the third appearance at the NCAA Singles Championships for the Cougars' fifth-year senior, tying a program record. Her previous appearances came in 2018 and 2019, becoming the first Cougar player to win a round at the singles championship when she defeated Winthrop's Lauren Proctor in 2019.
