LAHAINA, Maui – Sophomore Donika Bashota continued her strong start to the 2016 season by picking up another victory at the Weinman Foundation Invitational at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch Wednesday.
The four-team tournament, which includes WSU, Missouri, Texas Tech and host Hawaii, consists of singles and doubles matches in a non-team scoring format. Texas Tech entered the week with a No. 17 national ranking.
Bashota won her second-straight singles match in Hawaii with a 7-6, 6-4 win over Brittany Lashway of Missouri. It marked the lone singles victory for the Cougars on the day.
