PULLMAN, Wash. – Senior Melisa Ates and sophomore Hikaru Sato each claimed two titles to highlight the final day of play at the 2019 Cougar Classic Sunday at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
The two teamed to captured the Crimson Flight doubles title, cruising to a 6-0 victory over Lucy Octave and Annaliese County of Utah State for the title. In the Gray Flight doubles title match, Utah State's Carolina Millan and Renata Lombera captured the final three games to post a 7-5 win over WSU's Savanna Ly-Nguyen and Carla Quadflieg.
