PULLMAN, Wash. (October 4, 2024) – Washington State Football's Gauge Machado and Volleyball's Weronika Wojdyla were each named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for October 2024.
Machado, a redshirt-sophomore offensive lineman, owns a 3.91 GPA while majoring in wildlife ecology and conservation. The Pasco, Wash. native earned Pac-12 Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll accolades last season and participates in a number of activities around the Pullman community. Machado volunteers to work with a Coug buddy in the WSU ROAR program (an inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities), is a member of the WSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and volunteers at the WSU Deer and Bear Center.
