2 killed in shooting in Toppenish

TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say two people were killed when someone fired several gunshots into a family gathering in Toppenish.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that Toppenish police say someone fired several rounds shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Eduardo Flores, 21, died at the scene and 29-year-old Jessica Rodriguez, 29, died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Police did not release anything further regarding a suspect or motive in the shooting.
