TACOMA — A man is being held in lieu of $1 million bail after he pleaded not guilty to charges that he shot at Fife police during a chase last year.
The News Tribune reports that 37-year-old Phillip Gleason faces charges that include first-degree assault and drive-by shooting. Pierce County Superior Court Judge Thomas Felnagle set his bail Tuesday.
Gleason was reportedly in a sport-utility vehicle that fled after an attempted robbery at a truck stop on Port of Tacoma Road.
