This flew somewhat under the radar in the last 24 hours, but it appears that Doug Williams has agreed to a one-year extension with the Washington Redskins.
Williams is currently serving as the Redskins’ Senior vice president of player personnel. Over the course of the past few seasons, he has been instrumental in helping add talent to the team in the past few drafted classes.
Craig Hoffman and Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan were first to report Williams’ extension, and they classified the extension as “standard” among NFL front offices.
Williams received a planned extension called a “rollover,” which simply keeps the current contract in place for an extra year.
