The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve signed RB Chris Thompson to a contract extension.
- Master Tesfatsion reports that Thompson receives a two-year extension that will keep him under team control through the 2019 season.
Thompson, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2013. He was unfortunately waived at the start of the 2014 season, but re-signed to their practice squad just a day after being cut.
The Redskins tendered Thompson a one-year exclusive rights contract last year and brought him back on a second-round restricted tender that will cost the Redskins $2.
