The Washington Redskins didn’t publicize their final roster until late yesterday evening, but the delay did not have a negative effect on any post-reveal discussion. The updated roster is flush with surprises, familiar faces, and it wouldn’t have been possible without a few tough cuts.
The biggest takeaway, at first glance, is that there is a youth movement on the rise in Redskins Park. All of the Redskins draft picks made the 53-man roster, aside from Derrius Guice, who is on injured reserve, and in addition to the team’s eight picks from April, Adonis Alexander, the team’s supplemental draft pick, and three undrafted rookies, made the roster as well.
