The world knew a splash was coming when the Washington Redskins, after starting the 2018 season with a 6-3 record, lost six of their last seven games and stumbled to a 7-9 record. Combined with various reputation mishaps, such as the D.J. Swearinger debacle and the signing of Reuben Foster, Washington needed a facelift. Something to buy back an eroding fan base.

The first stage of that facelift culminated in the signing of former Giants All-Pro safety Landon Collins early in free agency to a six-year deal worth $84 million, and now, just months after a disheartening season finale, some fans are already clamoring back to Ashburn, with hope that the team can transcend its unfortunate past.
