On October 3rd, 1999 the Redskins eked out a 38-36 victory over the Carolina Panthers at Redskins Stadium (now Fedex Field) to improve to 3-1 en route to a 10-6 finish and an NFC East title. Free safety Leomont Evans (#35) finished the game with three tackles, a pass deflection, and evidently according to the stat line no interception on this pass intended for Patrick Jeffers (#83), despite his best efforts.
