Victor Robles got hit a total of 25 times in 155 games and 617 plate appearances in 2019, and he’s already been hit three times this season, with the third one last night hitting his hand, and eventually forcing him from the game.
Davey Martinez updated reporters on Robles’s status after what ended up an 11-6 loss to New York’s Mets in Citi Field. Robles was hit (by Jeurys Familia) in the fifth and he left the game in the seventh.
“It got stiff on him,” Martinez explained.
“Had X-rays, he’s negative.
