The Nationals are doing what they can to stay sharp while they wait to get cleared to return to work and start their 2021 season with a COVID “crisis” as GM Mike Rizzo called it over the weekend, currently delaying the start of the campaign.
“You have to be very creative at times,” Rizzo said.
“Baseball is a very difficult sport to recreate in a basement or a hotel room or an apartment if you will. We’re trying creative ways to stay as loose as they can. But nothing can simulate being on the field with live action.
