Excited as fans in the nation’s capital are about the Nationals adding Josh Bell’s bat to the lineup in D.C., the 28-year-old first baseman is equally enthusiastic about getting to live in Washington full time. Bell talked about his new home when he spoke to reporters shortly after the trade from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Christmas Eve.

“I think that it’s just a new opportunity, I’m definitely excited to get a new taste of D.C.” Bell said. “I’ve always loved going there, I have always loved the place as a whole, in regards to just how forward-thinking they are as a community and whatnot.
