Taking two of three from the Chicago Cubs in a series where you send Tanner Roark, Edwin Jackson, and Erick Fedde to the mound? Not bad. It took a big comeback on Sunday, but the Washington Nationals bounced back from a rough start to their road trip in Miami, where they dropped two of three to the Marlins, and took two of three in Wrigley without throwing Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg, or Gio Gonzalez at the Cubs.
“Any time you can win two out of three it doesn’t matter who’s starting,” Dusty Baker said after the series finale.
