MIAMI -- Nationals left fielder Jayson Werth exited Wednesday night's game against the Marlins in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The reason for Werth's departure was unclear, but he finished the game 1-for-2 and made a few sliding catches in the outfield.
Chris Heisey filled in as his replacement.

Werth became the second Nationals player to leave the game early after starter Joe Ross left after two scoreless innings with a blister on his right middle finger.
