Werth lands on DL with left foot contusion

Werth, 38, fouled a pitch off his left foot in the ninth inning of the Nationals' 10-4 loss to the A's on Saturday and was replaced by pinch-runner Wilmer Difo. The left fielder was not in Washington's lineup Sunday, and he was seen using crutches in the clubhouse. Werth is batting .262 with an .814 OPS, eight home runs and 18 RBIs through his first 47 games this season.

Raburn, 36, has hit .261 with one home run and five RBIs in six games since he was activated by Syracuse on May 27. He was acquired by the Nationals in a Minor League trade with the White Sox on May 26, and he's batting .
