Welcome to The Washington Times

It may seem like the Nationals blow a lot of games in the seventh inning and eighth inning — because they have.

But their record wouldn’t be better if games ended after the seventh or eighth.

That is because the Nationals have posted a number of comeback wins in what has been a dreadful start.

Washington is 14-21 after a 6-0 loss on Tuesday at Milwaukee in a game that was scoreless going into the last of the seventh. If games ended after the seventh the Nationals would be 11-19-5 this year.
