Hustle and heart were the name of the game for the Washington Nationals last night. They were trying to take every extra base and make every diving catch. It cost them at times, like when Dylan Crews laid out for a ball he probably should have just kept in front of him. However, in the end, the baseball gods rewarded the Nats hustle.
This game had all the hallmarks of a 2025 Nats game. It had the excellent starting pitching, the inconsistent but promising offense and the awful bullpen.
Let’s start with the starting pitching.
