After falling to sign closers Mark Melancon, Aroldis Chapman, and Kenley Jansen, the Washington Nationals have failed to sign yet another closer on the free agent market.
Former Kansas City Royals reliever Greg Holland signed a one-year pact with the Colorado Rockies with a vesting option for a second season.
While he hasn’t been his elite self in three years because of an injury, Holland would’ve been a solid pickup for the Nationals, considering the one-year/$7 million guaranteed deal he signed.
