ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick tweeted out Washington Nationals' reliever Jonathan Papelbon's updated no-trade list this afternoon. He can block trades to seventeen major league teams. Can GM Mike Rizzo find a deal... if he wants to trade Papelbon?
Washington Nationals' closer Jonathan Papelbon was not at last weekend's Nats WinterFest. According to what Nats' General Manager Mike Rizzo told reporters, the embattled reliever had other commitments.
"He had plans to be out of the country well before the dates of this came out, so he's out of the country and unavailable," Rizzo said.
"They're both highly-talented, extremely competitive, very good relief pitchers and if that's your eighth inning and ninth inning guys, we feel comfortable with that.
