Reid Brignac, 32, spent the 2017 season at Triple-A in the Houston Astros’ organization, putting up a .251/.326/.411 line, 17 doubles, and 13 home runs over 110 games and 437 plate appearances.
Brignac, a nine-year veteran, has played a total of 129 games at the major league level since 2012, with a .186/.241/.267 line over that stretch, going back to his days with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Last night, according to multiple reports, Brignac signed a minor league deal with the Washington Nationals, who extended an invitation to Spring Training to the veteran.
