Ryan Zimmerman tweaked something in his right foot during the series in Coors Field, when he leapt to bring down a high throw at first base and landed awkwardly.
“Let’s see how he feels tomorrow,” manager Davey Martinez told reporters after that game in Colorado, “but he did come down awkward, so we’ll see how he feels.”
Zimmerman played in the first two games with the San Diego Padres in D.C. this weekend, but before the start of the series finale on Sunday, the 34-year-old first baseman went on the 10-Day Injured List with what a press release on the move said was plantar fasciitis.
