WASHINGTON – In a month filled with some rain and canceled contests, the Nationals were able to play on Sunday against the Marlins during Instructional League in Florida.

The Nationals had a big inning at the plate in the victory while Eddy Yean got the start and went two innings.

He was followed by Andy Lara, who also went two innings, Carlos Romero, Pablo Aldonis, Lucas Knowles, and Edward Urena, according to Matt LeCroy, the quality control coordinator in player development for the Nationals.

On offense, infielder Drew Mendoza was 2 for 3 with a two-run double while catcher Ivan Murzi homered to left in his only at-bat.
