WASHINGTON - In his last outing of the 2019 season, young right-handed pitcher Joan Adon, 22, started and allowed no earned runs in five innings against Red Sox farm team Greenville for the low Single-A South Atlantic League.
That capped off a successful campaign for the Dominican Republic-born pitcher, who was 11-3 with an ERA of 3.86 in 22 games with 21 starts for the Hagerstown Suns.
In a pro career that began in 2017 in the Dominican Summer League, Adon is 16-5, 3.85 though walks have been a problem with 75 in 163.
