Javy Guerra threw 30 pitches in Tuesday night’s loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in Citizens Bank Park, but after the 30th, the veteran reliever motioned to the dugout that he couldn’t continue.
“He had a — his landing — his left hamstring tightened up on him,” Manager Davey Martinez told reporters after the 6-0 loss.
“He thought he could pitch through it and he said it grabbed him pretty good that last pitch he threw, so we had to get him out of there.
“He was throwing the ball pretty well too, so I asked him was it bothering him for a couple hitters, he said he could feel it but it wasn’t too bad, and then the last pitch he threw was bad.
