In addition to placing Stephen Strasburg on the 10-Day Disabled List (retroactive to 7/22) with what a press release on the move described as a “cervical nerve impingment” in his neck, the Washington’s Nationals announced this morning that third baseman Anthony Rendon has been placed on the Paternity List.
Tommy Milone was called up to start in place of Strasburg tonight in the series opener with the Marlins in Miami, but the initial note on from the Nats on Rendon said a corresponding move would be made prior to tonight’s game.
