Patrick Corbin’s ERA jumped from 4.10 to 4.76 after he gave up seven runs on a career-high 14 hits in the Nationals’ 7-3 loss to the Marlins last weekend in Miami.
Washington’s 31-year-old lefty talked after the outing about what went wrong and all the hits he allowed.
“They had some really good swings on me today,” Corbin told reporters. “I think that’s probably the most hits I’ve given up in a game, so just a little frustrating.
“I’m not sure of exactly one thing that I could’ve done differently, but just trying to forget about this one and get ready for my last start.
