PHILADELPHIA – Kurt Suzuki, with two strikes and no one on base, swung from his heels, and struck out to end the top of the fourth inning.
In the top of the sixth inning, Adam Eaton struck out on three straight pitches from Philadelphia starter Zack Wheeler.
After the last pitch, Eaton calmly put his bat and batting glove down on the ground and got ready to head to right field.
There were different emotions here Wednesday night from Washington’s batters – but the results were pretty much the same.
