SYRACUSE (AAA International League): The Chiefs fell to the Indianapolis Indians by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday night. Indianapolis scored two runs in the eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie.
Indianapolis (16-15) scored the game’s first run in the fourth inning. Syracuse (19-13) starter Aaron Laffey opened the frame by walking Jason Rogers. After a strikeout, Laffey then walked Willy Garcia to put Indians runners on first and second base.
