Davey Martinez left the Washington Nationals’ dugout during this past Sunday’s game with the Atlanta Braves in the nation’s capital, after experiencing chest pains.
According to the team, Martinez will be back with the team tonight when they start a three-game series in Miami’s Marlins Park.
Martinez was taken to a local hospital in D.C. for evaluation last Sunday, out of what the club said was abundance of caution, and on Monday the Nats’ 54-year-old, second-year manager underwent a cardiac catheterization, but was eventually sent home where he was resting up while waiting to be cleared to travel to rejoin the team on the road.
