Victor Robles went 2 for 5 with a double (his 23rd) and a solo home run (his 16th) in the 16-8 win in the series finale with Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon, leaving the Nationals’ 22-year-old center fielder 12 for 25 (.480 AVG) with five doubles and a homer over the course of the six-game homestand in Washington, D.C., in which the Nats went 5-1.
Robles also picked up his 10th and 11th outfield assists in the series with the Brewers, doing big things at the plate and out in center field.
“You’re seeing Robles being Robles,” Davey Martinez said when asked about the outfielder taking it to another level recently.
