Washington Nationals’ third baseman Anthony Rendon left last night’s game with a swollen left elbow after he was hit by a 95 MPH fastball in his second at bat. Victor Robles ran into the center field wall while making a catch late in the second game of three with the Marlins in Miami, but shook it off and stayed in the game.
Nats’ skipper Davey Martinez talked after what ended up a 9-3 loss about the issues with his corner infielder and center fielder.
“X-rays were negative,” on Rendon’s elbow the manager said.
