Josh Harrison was released by the Philadelphia Phillies at the end of Spring Training 2.0 last July, but he signed on with the Washington Nationals six days later and ended up playing in a total of 33 games in the 60-game season, with a solid .278/.352/.418 line, two doubles and three home runs in 91 plate appearances.
Nationals’ skipper Davey Martinez talked towards the end of MLB’s COVID campaign about trying to bring the veteran utility man back for another run in the nation’s capital.
“He’s just as advertised,” Martinez said.
“I hope that we sit back at the end of this year when we start evaluating these things, and what we need — for me he’s somebody we need.
