Kurt Suzuki went 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored in his first start since September 7th last night, but more importantly, the veteran backstop, who did geta few at bats as a pinch hitter before getting back behind the plate following an elbow injury, told manager Davey Martinez that he was good to go the full nine innings.
“He didn’t want to come out of the game,” Martinez said, “... because I only wanted him to go six or seven [innings]. He was very adamant about staying in the game, and he said, ‘I felt really good,’ so that was awesome.
