Chris Heisey, who signed a 1-year/$1.4M deal with the Washington Nationals this past winter, was 0 for 14 with a walk and six Ks as a pinch hitter and 6 for 47 overall on the season (.128/.180/.213) before he suffered a right biceps injury in batting practice on Wednesday afternoon.
He told reporters, including MASN’s Byron Kerr, he felt something in his right biceps Tuesday night.
“I came in today, got some treatment and tried to give it a go,” Heisey explained.
“I thought it would be fine. I took a swing in batting practice and actually tore my bicep tendon.
