It feels like a lifetime ago when Koda Glover burst onto the scene with the Washington Nationals in 2016. But since his debut, he’s had to battle a few different injuries and is now seemingly ready to return should he be required.
The right-handed reliever has now moved his rehab to the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs. In five rehab appearances, he’s thrown 5.2 innings, giving up three runs and has struck out nine batters.
Play-by-play announcer for the Chiefs, Eric Gallanty, noted that Glover was hitting 97 mph on his heater.
