The Washington Nationals season ended early Friday morning when they fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 5 of the National League Divisional Series.
In what will go down as an all-time classic, the Nats rallied, but could not crack Kenley Jansen and Clayton Kershaw. The lose the game 4-3 and the series 3-2. The Dodgers move on to the NL Championship Series starting Saturday at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs.
Holding a 1-0 lead into the sixth inning, Ryan Zimmerman doubled and, for reasons that remain inexplicable, Jayson Werth was sent home by Bob Henley.
