In two games on a rehab stint with the Potomac Nationals, Anthony Rendon went 5 for 8 with two doubles. He’s ready. Call him up.
This afternoon, the Washington Nationals brought their 27-year-old third baseman back off the Disabled List, optioning infielder Adrian Sanchez to Triple-A to make room on the roster.
Rendon injured his left big toe when he fouled a pitch off his foot in an April 13th game, but he wasn’t placed on the DL until April 22nd (retroactive to the 19th), with what the Nationals described in a press release on the roster move as a “toe contusion”.
