Kyle Schwarber talked before tonight’s game, his first as a member of the opposition in Wrigley Field, about returning Chicago and the Cubs who drafted him 4th overall in the 2014 Draft.
As much as he liked his time in the Windy City, Schwarber said he was here wanting to beat the Cubbies now that he’s playing for the Washington Nationals, but he did want to say that he was thankful for his time in the friendly confines, playing in front of their rabid fan base.
“I appreciate them for all the support they gave me throughout the past six years, and know that they’re held close to my heart,” Schwarber said.
