Washington Post writer Chelsea Janes reported last night that the Washington Nationals, who optioned Erick Fedde back to Triple-A after he started on Wednesday, would call up right-hander reliever Justin Miller, the 30-year-old former Tiger and Rockie who signed a Minor League deal with the Nats this winter.
Miller threw 13 2⁄3 scoreless at Triple-A, walking just three batters (1.98 BB/9), and striking out 23 of 46 hitters he faced (15.15 K/9) while holding hitters to a combined .070 average.
