According to an announcement from the Cincinnati Reds, tomorrow’s scheduled season opener with the Washington Nationals has been postponed due to the threat of some “... impending inclement weather.”
With the threat of rain in Cincinnati, the Reds made the decision to push Opening Day back 24 hours until 4:10 PM on Friday.
The weather forecast for Ohio was not pretty, so it’s not too much of a surprise, but the early announcement is a little surprising, though probably the right choice.
Just don’t look at the weather forecast for Friday...
The Nationals were prepared for the possibility of Opening Day being postponed, or at least the possibility they would have to play in inclement weather.
