Robles, an outfielder, is being promoted after hitting .289/.377/.485 in High-A Potomac this season. Robles, who the Nationals signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2013, is regarded as Washington’s best prospect and one of the top prospects in baseball.
MLB.com’s “Prospect Watch” ranks Robles as the fifth best prospect.
Since Robles is the Nationals’ most valuable asset not on the roster, his name has often come up in trade talks.
