Washington’s Nationals officially announced their Minor League managers, coaches, and coordinators for the 2018 season. The big news?
Randy Knorr, who served as Senior Advisor to Nats’ GM Mike Rizzo the last two seasons, is leaving that position to go to Triple-A Syracuse, where he’ll serve as the manager for the Chiefs again (though that move was announced in October).
Joining Knorr at AAA, will be Brad Holman, who’s the Chiefs’ new pitching coach after he served as the bullpen coach for the Texas Rangers in 2016-17.
Mario Lisson is joining the Nationals’ Gulf Coast League affiliate as the new manager after a 16-year playing career, and he’ll have Larry Pardo as a pitching coach with the GCL Nats.
